2021 Wenas CampOut

A warm greeting to all who love the Wenas Audubon Campout!

We’re filled with hope for the future, and yet realistic that by the end of May it will still not be practical to bring large groups together for a weekend.

The Wenas organizing committee has made the decision not to host a 2021 campout, with fingers firmly crossed for quite the celebration in 2022.

If you do decide to camp in the area at any time this year, you are encouraged to consult the WDFW and DNR website and make your own plans. Impacts from last year’s wildfires in the area are still causing some areas to remain closed.

Until we can all be together again, take a few minutes to watch this wonderful short film from WDFW about Washington’s shrubsteppe ecosystem.
This land is part of us.

  1. I understand but am saddened that the campout will not be hosted and attended as it has been in the past. I have wanted to attend since I discovered the event in 2018 but 2019 just didnt work for me and then came covid. My hopes for 2020 were dashes or should I say smashed. I continue to hope for the day when we can gather and I can finally attend this wonderful learning and sharing event. Thank you to those of you who continue to carry the torch for this event. May we all be blessed by your efforts in 2022. I so much hope that the year will come and I can experience the wonder and excitement. I will not be satsfied umtil I can say I have been to the Wenas Audubon Campout. Peace and blessings to all and to all the birds and animals. S. zurenko
